My daughter and ex-roomate had a joint bank account which went seriously negative due to a bad check deposited. Lawsuit was filed naming both parties. Currently in 28 day window to provide a response to "Plaintiff's First Set of Admissions and Requests for Production of Documents to the Defendant as to MY DAUGHTER only". Notice of Disclosure showed the same amount owed $2,023.78 and both parties as Defendants. Not sure how she should answer these, and if she is just on the hook for the entire amount?
1. ...admit default on bank account 2. ...admit to balance shown in documents for both defendant's bank account of $2,023.78.
3. ...admit the Defendant owes $2,023.78.
Number 3 is written such that an affirmative answer would mean she admits she owes the entire amount and her ex-roomate doesn't owe anything. I think.
Any help would be appreciated.
