I’m being sued by a collections agency for an amount that I have already resolved. Due to it being paid already, I received a copy of a request for dismissal from the agency’s lawyer, but I’m not sure it has been filed yet. Do I still need to file an answer to the complaint I initially received? Or should I just wait for the request for dismissal to be filed?

Please call the court clerk to see if they have it on file and dismissed it or what needs to be done.
