The longest deadline among the states is 30 days, so you may have a couple of days left.
Even if the deadline has passed recently, it's often a good idea to respond. Judges are often times favorable to people responding to a debt lawsuit without an attorney. The goal of the court system isn't to make people lose by technicalities. So, lots of judges will accept an Answer that's filed a few days late.
There is a good chance the Answer will be accepted so long as it is filed before Default Judgment is filed.
