You can use a Debt Validation Letter. It is the best way to respond to a collection letter. It cites the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, forcing the debt collector to show proof of the debt. Based on customer reports, calls and collection attempt frequently stop immediately after the debt collector receives our Debt Validation Letter. If a debt collector continues to attempt to collect without validating the debt, they are breaking the law and you can sue them for $1000 for every violation. If it is a demand letter attempting to collect a debt, the recipient should respond with our Debt Validation Letter.
