What if you don't have a income and you're sued for debt?

Did that happen can they harass you all they want? What if you don't have a income and you get sued by a credit card company or a debt collector and you can't pay a lump sum will they try to garnish your wages which I have none?? THANK YOU

Well, generally, we think it's best to settle a debt. Someone may think they are "judgment proof" because they don't make any money or own any property now.
But unless you'll never make any money or own any property in the future, you aren't really judgment proof. The collector could win the lawsuit and then come after you at any point in the future. If you don't have any money to settle, you can try borrowing money from family and threaten to declare bankruptcy, using this as leverage to settle for a low amount against the collector.
